Walkie-talkies were provided to the security guards to prevent any untoward incidents from taking place at the Government Medical College Hospital, Vellore.
Security should be arranged in all hospitals and surveillance cameras should be installed. He also took part in protests by insisting on the demands of bringing Central Hospital Security Act and creating new medical posts in Tamil Nadu in all sizes.
Following this, security arrangements have been intensified in government hospitals across Tamil Nadu. Based on that, walkie-talkies were given to 9 security guards working at Vellore Kastamparai Government Medical College Hospital on Wednesday.
College principal M. Rokinidevi said that 9 walkie-talkies have been provided for the security guards who work in places where patients and public congregate to organize and manage the infrastructure of the hospital.
Through these, information can be exchanged between the security guards and officers on duty from the entrance gate to the ward to prevent any mistakes or accidents from happening in the hospital, he said.
